First Cohort - Allocations

In 2009, each Seed Council member was allocated $3600 and asked to identify organizations working towards Tikkun Olam that address areas of importance to them. In 2010, they were offered a $1,800 match for Tikkun Olam organizations they chose to support personally.  The following organizations were awarded grants by Seed Council members:

In 2010, the Seed Council allocated $36,000 to three organizations working to fight poverty and hunger: American Jewish World Service (AJWS), Women for Women International and Welfare Rights Organization.
